As a Senior Visual Designer, I participated in brainstorming sessions as well as on the field research at Universities with students. I was predominantly designing the User Interface of the application by making icons and finalizing layouts. I also helped with style guides, animation and technical feasibility.
The UX Researcher and I gathered information and observed students studying and taking notes. During this research phase, we find out the problems student had with their current studying activity. As a student, they want to be able to take notes on the spot, "bookmark" which page the note belongs to, move forward and back between pages easily, and carry as many books as they can without the hassle.
The IA Team created the interactions for each screen. The Visual Design Team and I took their wireframes and created the final design and style guides.
