Ping Chat! 2 Visual Update

Redesign: Boosting Engagement and Driving Acquisition

While PingChat! enjoyed early success, its visual design had become outdated. The team sought a modern aesthetic and more intuitive user experience to foster increased engagement and attract a wider audience.

As a contracted visual designer, I spearhead the visual revitalization initiative, collaborating with the PingChat! team to improve UI elements and overall user flow.

Design Approach

I refined the interface within the existing technical framework.

1 Competitive Analysis

Evaluated the strengths and weaknesses of leading chat apps to gain insights into contemporary design trends and best practices.

2 Refinement

Revamped core screens (settings, chat view, group interaction) for visual appeal and clarity while maintaining functional efficiency.

3 Intuitive UX

Focused on simplifying navigation and making actions easy to locate and understand, with attention to visual hierarchy. 01 2 02 2 03 2
