Storyboon

There weren’t many tools for comic writers, so I built one for myself to finish my own graphic novel, and to see how quickly it could be built with AI. Storyboon is now in research preview.

Claude wrote all of the code. I made the layout, design, and product decisions. We built the design system first, but Claude kept drifting from its patterns and falling back on what it learned in training, so getting the site to look consistent was a long fight. Left alone, it reached for the soft greens and beiges that have become the look of vibe-coded apps, and it took a lot of taste calls to move it somewhere else.
